The Batasia Loop is a spiral railway loop located on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway line, just 5 km away from the town of Darjeeling. It was built in 1919 to make the steep ascent to Darjeeling more manageable for the trains. The loop offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountains, including the majestic Kanchenjunga, and also features a beautiful garden, a war memorial, and a statue of a Gorkha soldier.
